Process Engineer (m/f/d) - Subtractive Manufacturing (Aviation Prototypes)

THE POSITION

In this responsible role, you are the central point of contact for our manufacturing teams. You play a leading role in bringing our production of aviation parts (aluminum and titanium) for our eVTOL up to Industry 4.0 standards. You oversee the entire CNC manufacturing process, from the initial technical idea through planning to implementation in production.

Your Responsibilities

  • You develop manufacturing concepts that set standards in terms of innovation, efficiency, and long-term scalability
  • You take ownership of production planning and coordinate closely with supply chain and manufacturing
  • You serve as the first point of contact for manufacturing issues and collaborate with the team to implement effective corrective actions.
  • You create smart work plans and optimize processes in terms of quality, time, and costs
  • You introduce and refine quality assurance methods within our production workflows
  • You analyze technical processes, identify risks at an early stage, and implement proactive corrective actions
  • You design fixtures and production tools that make working on components more efficient and precise
  • You document work processes in a clear and transparent manner
  • You actively support the implementation of modern, digitally supported manufacturing processes

YOUR PROFILE

  • Completed vocational training in metalworking or machining, further training as a technician or master craftsman, or a comparable degree in mechanical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in CNC machining
  • Proficiency in CAD softwares, preferably SolidWorks
  • Experience as a production planner or in a similar role within manufacturing is desirable
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Strong initiative, analytical skills, and a hands-on mentality
  • Strong communication skills, sense of responsibility, and perseverance
  • Experience working in an international team on complex projects and with agile working methods
